Referring Creditor Calls

Thank you for retaining The Merna Law Group.  You should start referring all creditor calls to our corporate office at (757)340-4895.  All you have to advise them is:

• You are filing bankruptcy;
• Contact Merna Law at (757)340-4895.

Any other questions they ask you should just say “you need to speak to my attorneys”. 

Some aggressive creditors like payday lenders are likely to continue to call you.  Just be persistent in your referral.

WARNING: You should continue paying all secured debt, like vehicle loans or mortgage payments, if you intend to retain the property.
